The old pumping station at De catur uud John streets has been demolished. The new station at Willamette boulevard unit hn street, in charge of Foreman T. K. Dowling, is being made very attractive. They have won four games and lost one, los ing to Arleta last Sunday by a score of 7 to 4. .. Mrs. Minnie May Hanks died Juno 7th at her home, 701 Smith avenue, aged U) years, ft months and 25 days, heart trouble huintr tho cause of her death. She was born in Kansas and for the past quarter of a century has resided in this place, hho is survived by ter husband, II. Hanks, one sn. Melviu Hanks, and one daughter, .Mrs. ii. h. .Mason, Funeral serv ices were held at the St. Clement church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment took place in Columbia cemetery, the St. Johns Undertaking Co. in charge. Mrs. Alice E. Myers died at her home, 208 E. Burlington street. June 8th. She was born in For est Grove and for the past seven years lias resided in St. Johns. She was aged 52 years, 5 months und 5 days. Surviving her are one son, Alva Myers, and one daughter, Edna Bilyeu, both of this city. Her husband preceded her to tho other shore several years ago.
