Wright of the Penin sula National Hank has rocoiv- ed hjgh recognition of his abili ty and integrity by tho Suporin tendent of Hanks for tho state of Oregon who requested of the Peninsula National Hank a leave of absence for Mr. Wright of six months duration to assist in the liquidation of a banking institution ot The Dallas. The Icavo of absence has been granted by the local bank, and Mr. Wright will leave about the 4th of next month to assume his now duties. This is a distin guished honor for Mr. Wright and also for the Peninsula Na tional Hank, with which Mr. Wright has boon connected for the past eleven years. Friends of Mrs. John Hakcr pleasantly surprised her at her home on March 22 in honor of her birthday anniversary. She received a beautiful present and everybody wished her the happy returns of the day. The evening's entertainment consis ted of a five hundred party,sing nig and dancing, and this was topped with a tine luncheon Miss Greta Pahl furnished the music for the evening, and ev erybody spent an enjoyable time.
