And it is up to our people m conjunction with the city au thorities to nco that these possi bilities uro realized. The dedica tion of tho park is an important event and should bo made a gala occasion by our people. Hvcry 0110 who can possiby do so should bo in attendance and bring roses for planting. Pier Park should bo made n bower of flowers,which in conjunction with its great nat ural beauty, would make it a place of pleasurable enjoy men t as well as recreation. So let ev ery one turn out on the 18th mill thus demonstrate to the city at largo that we take prido in our new acquisition. Death of Mrs. Fortlcr Mrs. Maria Forticr, beloved wife of Edward Fortici of St Johns, Oregon, passed away on March 3rd, 1922, at the ago of 7G years, bhe was born in Saginaw, Mich., Dec. 1G. 1840. She is sur vived by five daughters and three sons, whom all live to mourn ho death.
