High School Notes
Tho high school notes this
year will be reported and edited
by the several English classes in
succession. For this issue the
English sixth classes are re
sponsible, the active commit
tee being Joy Egteland, Morgan
Shirley, Leonard Harrington,
Lelia Baylor, Ruth Weiss and
Thelma Young.
The new school term at James
John has begun with the largest
enrollment since the school was
opened. The freshman class en
tering this term is the largest in
the history of James John. It
numbers 81 students who come
from the several schools of the
Peninsula and Unnton; also
many Btudents have transferred
from other schools, and one stu
dent is from Wales.
In assembly Friday Mr. Fletcher
back.fora month yet. Peter Erm
ler is on the F. G. Drenn. His
boat arrived in San Francisco

Lynns Van Duzcn of 4150swc

heart trouble. He was born in
Ontario, Canada, and come here
from Michigan about twelve
years ago. Mr. van uuzen was
aged 58 years, 10 months and 2G
days, and is survived by his
