E.Crane of the St. Johns Millinery, and they had not seen each other for 31 years, bhe expects to stay a year, with a view to lo cating here. Henry Albers passed away at his home in Portland Wednes day. He suffered from a multi tude of ailments, being par alyzed and blind. It matters not what terrestrial courts might do. He must now appear before an Unerring Tribunal, from whose decision there can be no appeal. Mrs. Margaret Melvin. mother of Lieutenant Robert L. Crane of the local police station, died last Saturday at her home in Portland, aged 62 years. The funeral was held Wednesday, in terment takinsr place in the Ma? sonic cemetery on the Colum bia highway. Swimming Is a popular diver sion at present. Westley. 28, of St. Johns, died at Salem Tuesday as the result of Injuries sustained in au automobile accident on the Pacific highway near Brooks three weeks ago. Mrs. Westley was an occupant ot the Malcolm Kami car which was struck by a cardrlveu by K. G. Osborne, Portland tire salesman. At the time of the accident it was be lieved that Mrs. Westley's injuries were only slight aud that she would soon recover. Mrs, Westley is the second victim of this accident to succumb to injuries sustained at that time. Rudolph bamuelsou of Canby, an employe of the State hos pital, who was riding with Osborne at the time, died the day" after the accident as the result of a fractured skull. Osborne himself is now in a Portland hospital suffering from injuries sustained in the acci dent. Airs, Westley is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A.
