Davis on Fessenden street and will construct a cement dou ble garage. The Peninsula National Bank reports business greater in March than February. Ore., formerly of St. Johns, has been in St. Johns visiting some reports considerable inquiry for 0f his many friends and attend vacant lots, having sold twelve vacant lots for a total price of $I9Z5 within tho past arc weeks, lesides ono house and lot at $2700, and another house and ot for $1331 within tho last ten days. There arc two equipped ship yards in St. Johns district. Tho cninsula yard is still in charge of tho government and wo un dorntand the Standifer people nro trying to close a deal for tho Grant Smith yard. Tho loca tions of both yards are ideal for shin bu lding or somo other in dustry. Somo day ono or both yards will bo operating. Ihere s too much monoy tied up to al ways remain idle. Mrs. Nodville, sister of Mrs. Wymore, bought tho now bungalow next door ust month. Mrs. Tate, with lice & Tate, handled the trans actions. Tho Portland Manufacturing Co. is running two crows, em ploying 100 men and 25 girls. fho capacity is gradually in creasing and conditions nrc fa vorable. It was decided that the club's committee on fair sito bo given full authority to advertise thoroughly and in ev ery way posaiblo bring out the merits of tho North St. Johns location.
