Walter Jenk ins rendered several vocal solos, after which assembly singing mndu the building ring. The first games of thu girls' basket ball season were played Wednesday after school. The contests were between the first and fourth and the third and seventh teams, the fourth and seventh being victors. The girls all played for the honor of their class and the future games pro mise to be just as interesting. Last Tuesday at the regular assembly period the entire stu dent body wao entertained by members of the French and Spanish classes. Under the di rection of Miss Von a very clever little play was given by the French class, and two Span ish plays were given by Span ish students under the tutor ing of Mr. Getz. Friday night, December 17th, will be the scene of much gaiety at Jumes John. There will be many things of interest for both the old and young. There will bo a regular Gypsy camp, jitney dance, cave horrors, fortune tell ing.lunch counters, candy booths, Christmas tree, with Santy Glaus and plenty of gifts for ev ery one. Wo are expecting the supiKirt of the community, as we have had in the past for other tilings that we have given. The doors will open promptly nt 7:00. Everybody come. Z. M. M.
