She will make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Swanson, on West John street. Regarding her trip Mrs. Mussell says: "On October Ith. HM1J, I and my son, 0. C. Hussell, started on our long trip East, and had u very pleasant trip. I remain ed in Michigan all winter, visit ing relatives there, and my son going to New York where he was soon to he married, and is now settled in his new home at North Ihimden, N. J., on a 200-acrc farm. During the win ter months 1 stayed with mv two stepsons, It. Y. and J. . Hussoll ol' Akron and Flint. Michigan, also nephew and sister-in-law at East Saginaw who has since passed away. Also made a short visit to Toledo, Ohio, and Hillsdale. Mich. On May Ith I started lor New York to -visit my son and new daughter-in-law, also oilier relatives. I visited a number ol" different nlaces of interest in the lovelv hills and valleys of New York stale. The Hocky Mountains was a uraud and beautiful sight, lifting one's thoughts to the great Creator above. I ar rived in good old St. Johns last Saturday, having slopped oN' at Spokane, Wash., ihe past two weeks visiting relatives and Inking in the county fair, which was very interesting, especially the band of Indians from Mon tana all painted and dressed in their war suits, and dancing their war dances. Any seven, senators (one-fifth plus ono' of tho Senate), or any thirteen representatives (ono fifth plus ono of the House), can band themselves to gether and veto any amendment on any of this meritorious legislation, simply by refuslnx to voto for amend menls, until such tlmo as tho majority makes terms with both tho group of seven nervy senators and tho thirteen nervy representatives, thereby enabl ing both of those two groups to secure any legislative concession desired by fltlier ns Its price for not construct ing needed amendments of meritorious bills. If tho majority refuses to make terms, It either must sacrifice the meritorious bills and face tho wratli of Its constluents for falling (o oiiact them, or must voto them through un amended, with possibly glaring faults, It Is not Impossible that a group as small its six, five, four, three or even two senators, or twelvo or loss members of tho house, could exorcise this tyranny of u compact and obstruc tive minority. It Is not unusual that members elected aro absent, for rea sous of Illness or even of death.
