figured up what he had received
for his crops lie found tho total

Amidst a beautiful and elabor

eighteen of St. Johns' most
prominent young peoplo enjoyed
a very pleasant evening on Fri
day, the thirty-first, at the
homo of Mr. and Mrs. Law
rence Layton of 1010 S. Leonard
street. The young ladica ap
peared dressed as country girls
in short gingham aprons, sun
bonnets and curls. While tho
gentlemen came dressed as farm
er lads. Many Interesting and
lively games were played and all
succeedud in learning their
lortunos. Cider and duoghnuts,
followed by the guests minting
real "anookv" stories in a dark
ened room, added tho final touch
to make the evening perfect. A
cake, lighted by seventeen
orange colored candles, was cut
by Miss Dora Lavtou in honor of
her birthday. Those present
