Keotigh died at his home, 013 DcPnuw street, Thurs day of last week, aged 35 years. He was unmarried and made his home with his parents, being the only child. The cause of his death was not learned, an autopsy being taken to determine. He was a strong, robust young man, a returned soldier in the am bulance service, and he took sud denly ill, and in spite of prompt medical attention ho passed a way in a few hours. He was formerly a resident of Montana. The deceased was well liked by all who knew him, and there was a large concourse of his friends at the funeral and a profusion of beautiful floral tri butes. The funeral services took nlace Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel of the St. Johns Undertaking Company, Or. Jones olllclatfng. Interment in Columbia cemetery. Edward Anderson, an employe of tho Eastern nnd Western ; Lumber company, rushed to thoi St. Johns police station Friday I afternoon with n pair of hand-! cuffs securely rastcned to his wrists. Ho claimed that three men, representing themselves to ho internal revenue officers, called at his place of work and ordered him to acompnny them. They took him to n secluded spot on tho Gormnntown road, where they handcuffed him to a tree. Anderson claims that the men searched him, taking $1 from his pocket, but overlooked $300 in currency. They then searched his room, ho claims, and took liberty bonds and war savings stamps valued at $250.
