Mr, Boy Malo of Gervais, Oregon, and Miss Bessie Will iams of Virginia were united in marriage in Portland. Tho groom whose 'birthplace is St. Johns, has just been released from tho navy. His mother, Mrs. uugeno Malo. attended the wedding, and while here with her sons, William and Eugene, Jr., visited her sis ter, Mrs. W. D. Brezee, and neice. Mrs. II. J. vermeer. Mrs. Malo is well known here, having resided here some years ago. Mrs. Sarah Holt died at her home, 202 West Buchanan street, Tuesday. Oct. 7th, of pneumonia. She was born in Canada 70 years aco and had resided in St. Johns for the past seven years. Her husband preceded her to tho crave last February. She is survived by two sons. H. W. Shaw of Oiympia, Wash., and W. W. .Shaw of Portland, also by three brothers and two sis ters. The funeral services were held at the chapel of Miller & Tracey Thursday at 2:30 p. m.
