An attempt apparently to burn the Home Mercantile Co's ware house at Burlington and Brad ford streets was made about ten o'clock last night. Kind ling, which had btten started on fire, was found under one corner of the building. It was evidently the work of boye, who just wanted to soe a blaze, since it occurred so earlj in the night.
