Only a few days previously Mr. Peterson's wife passed away, both dying from influenza. He was aged about 36 years, o- John MacGregor and Cyril Magone were among the navy boys who have been furloughing in St. Johns for several days this week. They say they have been enjoying every minute of the time since they have been in the service and are anxious to get to sea. They are still sta tioned at Seattle, and both were in perfect health.
