A good word for the queuo3 at last A high medical authority has just given it ns his opinion that tho early morning "queue habit" is having quite a beneficial effect on the health of some clnsses of the community. Women who used to spend half the morning in bed, then sitindoorsnour ing over the morning paper or the latest novel, ure now up with tho proverbial lark and out in tho fresh air before it has becomo heavily dust- laden. A wait in the queues may ho beneficial on a fine springliko morn ing, but would it be so exhilarating standing in a couple of inches of snow to wait for half n pound of margarine? In any easo the pluck of a woman on the Iindou front is amazing. To stand in a queue for an hour or two, often with an infant in arms, on tho on" chance of pro curing supplies, is a task quito be yond the patient endurance of the average man. Yet many of our brave women are doing it daily with something more than stoicism.
