Burton, Pastor. Arthur Price, a ship carpenter employed at tho Grant Smith- Porter Shipbuilding Company's yard, was killed Wednesday afternoon when he was struck on the head by a falling timber. Ho was engaged with other car penters in erecting the commun ity hall, Ab tho timber was bn. inir raised to bo stood on end. it slipped from the rigging nnd fell on Mr. Price. His skull was crushed. He lived but a few minutes afterwards. The body was removed to tho county morgue. Mr. Price was 41) years old. Ho leaves a widow and two young children in Corvallis, where the family had lived several years. His body was taken to Corvallis for interment, the St. Johns Undertaking Co. in charge. A widow and two children survive. There will bo an all day meet ing at the Trinity Lutheran church, corner Lovely and For tune streets, near Wall street, Sunday, May 12th. It is ten years since the congregation was organized and the event will bo celebrated. At the com munion service in the morning Rev. II. Rogers from Mt. Angel wilP preach the gospel, and Rev. S. A.
