Christian Gerald Groos died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Gilstrap, 1130 South Willamette boulevard, April 7. 1918, of uremic coma. Deceased was born in Holland February 15, 1837, consequently was 81 years. 1 month and 20 days at the time of his death. He was a nurservman by occupation and i had resided in St. Johns for the past four years, coming here ,from Sheridan, Oregon. Mr I Groos was a veteran of the Cri. I mean war. He is survived by 1 three Bons and two daughters. The funeral services were held at the chanel of the St. Johns Undertaking Co. Tuesday af ternoon at 2 o'clock. Maurice Leonard Finn, son of Michael Finn, died at his home, GG4 Myers street Wed nesday morning, aged two months and ten days. The death of the little one was a particu larly sad one, as upon awaken ing in the morning the parents found the little one had expired. An autopsy revealed that a growth near the heart had caus ed sufiicient pressure upon that organ as to result in death. Services were held at the resi dence at 9:30 Thursday morn ing.
