Clyde Heath, stationed at Bre merton, was homo on the 13th for a few days vacation. His liberty being short, he did not 8oe many of his friends, but says he is having a dandy time and is getting fat. W. J. Naprer of the National hotel, Portland, a foreman in St. Johns, fell from a trestle here ate Tuesday. He sustained a fractured arm and severe inju ries to his side, and was taken to the Good Samaritan hospital. Mrs. Barbara McFern. a resi dent of St. Johns for many years, had to move to Portland, owing to scarcity of vacant houses here. The owner of their for mer residence on Bristol street will replace the old house with a new one, it is said. A. W. Davis reports the fol lowing sales during the past week: E. L.
