farmer and stock raiser of Al
berta, Canada, and wife are
guests at the home of the
former's mother, Mrs. Sarah
Kemp, of St. Johns. After
visiting for some weeks here
and in this vicinity, they will
go to California, where they
will spend the winter.
Announcement of the wedding
of Samuel II. Douglas, of Hood
River and Miss Perditia Fleener,
of St. Johns was made this
week. The wedding took place
at Vancouver, Wash., July 18th,
but the young couple kept It a
secret in order to surprise their
friends.
The St. Johns Furniture store,
111 Philadelphia street, left a
range on the walk Hallowe'en.
The next morning the range
could not be found.- They did
everything but drag the river.
Then "Daddy" Kerr came forth
with the information that the
range was in the hall over the
Peninsula National Bank. It is
now in the store and offered for
sale at a reduced price.

in Bickner hall last rriday
