It has been suggested as a method of relieving the demand for dwelling houses here that tent houses be erected, as done n a number of other places where there are no availuble houses. The Multnomah Theatre has nstalled a new picture machine which is quite an improvement over the old one. Pictures are now shown m a continuous run without breaking every two reels, as was formerly the case. John LaVillette was re cently home on a four day fur lough from army service. His many friends were glad to see his smiling face again, if only for a few days. He has gained fourteen pounds of good solid muscles in his four month's of service.
