According to plans announced last week by Terry & Harris, in corporated, negotiations are un der way for the construction of a group of factory buildings by a syndicate of five Portland cap- mists on a site yet to be select ed. It is proposed to spend about $125,000 for tho buildings and an additional $100,000 for machinery equipping the plant for the manufacture of castiron, water and eras pipes and fittings. Thero will be probably six build ings of reinforced concrete con struction, one story high. It is understood that tho site of the factory will be on tho lower har bor, where adequate facilities are provided. Once the plant is placed in operation it will em ploy approximately 125 men.
