There are now W clubs of hunters and fishermen In Oregon, and the ready re sponses received irom these clubs indicate that there will be a full representation of all sportsmen at the convention. The overwhelming majority of the sportsmen are in favor of tho protection of fish and game, and the improvement ot tho game resources of tho state. It will bo tho mirnoso of tho State Ah sociation to work along tho lines of game protection, to agree up on oiris at on in order to br nir that about, and to exert the united influence of the sportsmen of the state to pro cure the passage of such legisla tion. The objects which tho organized sportsmen have in view are particularly close to I the heart of each angler and hunter, because of tho fact that the game protection and propa gation is created by tho license lees paid by them. Thero is said to boa feclinir that Snorts- men's fund has not always been used to best advantage, and that at times its disbursement has been influenced by motives other than the furtherance of tho Haiti and game' resources of tho state. It is thought that tho Stato Association, which probably will 00 ,,0vn 113 1,10 ViW" &Prw men's League, will adopt a sys tem which will givo to each club in the state belonging to the Lennuo one vote in the alfairs of the Leaguo, irrespective of the membership of tho club or tho number of delegates sent by the club to hp convention. The purpose of this is to prevent the domination of the affairs of the Leaguo by a few of the stronger clubs. Among the entertainment features proposed for the dele gates are a trapshotand fly cast ing tournament on tho clay pre ceding the convention, and a beefsteak dinner at the c oso of the conventon. followed by mo tion pictures of a special inter est to sportsmen.
