It scums to bo a foregone con clusion that Multnomah county will vote $1,250,000 bonds toward the construction of the Inter state Bridge. There is not one good reason why any one should vote against it, and we have yet to hoar of a single person oppos ing the proposition. 1 Mr. Husiness Man, have you MIMED m "NOTSAE NATURE'S BEST are the only fruits and vegetables used in our canned goods and preserves. It is an old saying that a man is known by the company he keens. When you join the ranks of the advertisers you join the ranks of the biggest and most successful merchants and manufacturers of the world. How many concerns can you name in Chicago. in New York, in Kansas City, in Port land, in any large city in the country? Name them and you will not ice that all are mg ad vcrtisers and all are leaders in their lines. Hut the council decided that the excess was more than could lie provided for out of the general city funds. In view of the fact that the city had pur chased the smith property at the corner of Hurlington and Wil lamette boulevard in order that the street might be improved in more nerfect manner, and that A. S. Hen son paid the sum of $200 to remove a jog in the Htreet, it is a pity that the work could not proceed.
