The Trip to Ridgefield When the classic boat, Argosy, left the city dock Saturday last for Ridgcfield it carried over sixty enthusiastic supporters of the James John track team, the spirits of whom tho worst threats of the weather man could not dampen. After a short time the weather authorities evidently became discouraged, for at in tervnls the sun slid from behind the clouds and took part in the merrymaking. Everyone enjoy cd tho trip and the scenery, es pccially of Bachelor's Isle. The girls of the high school were thoughtful enough to have on hand plenty of good things for tho hungry travelers, and on landing, the first thing that was done was to form a bread line. After several hours of sight seeing, track meet and nromc nading, the crowd ngain gather ed nt tho boat and were treated to an excellent picnic dinner. A little after seven all the strag glers were found, and once more the merry makers were viewing the scenery, singing songs, nnd having a jolly good time. This account would not be complete without at least a mention of the snake dance, after tho return, on Jersey street in celebration of the victory. James John High added anoth er star to their athletic crown Saturday when they won tho dual track and field meet with Ridgcfield High at Ridgcfield, Wash.
