Miss Sarah Graves went to Cot

of the musical department of the
Adventist academy located there.
Miss Graves is one of our most pop
ulnr and charming young ladies and
her departure even for a time is sin
cerely regretted by a very large
circle of friends.
The illustrated lectures given
the Multnomah theatre this week
are of special interest, being highly
instructive aod entertaining. The
reproduction of the "Declaration o
Independence," shown 011 the
screen Wednesday evening was one
ot tlie finest seen for a long time,
and must prove helpful in instilling
a genuine feeling of patriotism in
the minds of the young. This tiic
ttire reel was greeted with vocifer
ous applause. Miss Georgia Hil
yen also delivered a patriotic rccita
tioti in her pleasing style on that
evening.
