The Portland Commercial Club is fathering a new plan for the de velopment of the state that has for its object the use of Oregon products by Oregon people. This doctrine has been preached before, but there has never been greater opportunity for building up home industries than now. A campaign to extend the use of Oregon-made goods here at home is now under way and the co-operation of commercial bodies of the state will be enlisted. Constipation is the starting point for many serious diseases.
