W. F. Adams, a yardman em
plnved by the St. Johns Lumber
company Had his leg broken and
was otherwise imdly bruised when
a truck loud of 8x8 timbers turned
over on him Friday afternoon. He
wns taken to St. Vincent s hospital
where he is getting along 03 well as

The Kvangelical Sunday school
will hold their children's dav ser
vices, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock
instead of the evening as had been
announced. Remember the hour
and sec that the children all attend.
The W. C. T. U. presented the
council with a huge bouquet of the
finest roses that were heartily ap
predated by that august body, and
a vote of thanks was extended to
the ladies for their kindness and
thoughtfuluess.

The business men of St. Johns
have subscribed a fund for the pur
pose of having the streets sprinkled
throughout the business district. As
the dust is two inches deep and
still rising, the application of water
will not come amiss.

Our Second Annual
SWEET PEA SHOW
will be held this year on Friday, July 7th. The suc
cess attending our initial effort along this line has led
us to believe that this year's exhibition will far ex
ceed in volume and beauty that of last year.
Full particulars will be announced later. In
the meantime look to the cultivation of your sweet
peas.
