Regular meeting of Doric Lodge
A. F. & A.M. Wednesday, June 7.
Work in M, M. degree.
St. Johns Hardware Co. has
had some material improvements
made iu their display window.
Needles arc small things and
easily lost, but if a small bottle be
secured to keep them in there will
be no further bother iu that way.
James Purkapilc, W. F. Ford
and T. T. Larson arc erecting
small dwellings on Newton, Oswe
go, and Stafford streets, respectively.
The McCabe & Corbett store
building on South Jersey has been
painted a reddish color of the most
pronounced hue, and glistens like
a nigger's heel iu the moonlight.
It would be rather nice if those
bcatiful lofty poles could be success
fully budded to fruit or shade. The
good offices of Luther Durbauk
might be used to some advantage.
Mrs. T. T.Larson has purchased
a lot on Stafford street from John J.
Ostcr and Wm. Murphy also pur
chased a lot on the same street from
John Pond, both sales being made
through McKinncy & Davis.
Two pictures of more than ordi
nary interest were presented at the
Klcctric this week: "Back to the
Primitive" and the sinking' of the
battleship Texas in a wanton man
ner by sister ships. Doth were of
the highest class and greatly ap
preciated by the lurgc audiences.
Where do you buy your meal?
Is it giving you good satisfaction?
Are you getting the quality for the
price you arc paying? Is it some
times stale and unpalatable? These
are pertinent questions, but they
arc vital. Ward's Meat Market is
the place to go for satisfaction, qual
ity, full weight and fresh meat.
For Sale-My home of eight
rooms, iooxioo, overlooking the
river, all kinds of fruits, berries,
and chickens. Rents for $26 per
month. $ 2Soo takes it. 205 No.

A cuff link with a monogram en

he can have same by calling at this
office.
The ranks of the old soldiers are
getting woefully thin and their
footsteps, once so bold and fearless
arc becoming pathetically feeble
A few more years atid they shall
have become only a sacred mem
ory.

Cold winter niorniugs dark as styx

Then have the coal fire make you watt
For breakfast until almost eight

There's uo kiudliug to make, no fire to teud,
All worryiug over breakfast is at an end;
