George has been laid up with rheumatism since Christinas and is far from being a well man yet. He reports a visit by Merritt Hanks, James Gee aud Iiert Simmons last btiuday aud that they were much taken with his ranch. He also stated that his wife's aiiht, Mrs. Nettie Reed, who formerly resided near Iitinton, had died last week near Corvallis, aged 52 years.
