The Bachelors' club pave a de

Hallowe'en entertainment in the M.
W. A. hall Monday night, and

held full sway. The jollification
was Interspersed with an interest

The masquerade ball given iii the
at. Johns rink Saturday night was
the very best of its kind ever held
in the building. About 160 were
present nnd the gcMips of some of
the participants were marvclously
and wondcrously constructed. Sev
eral prir.es were given.
McKinncy & Davis have sold
their Interest in the French block
to II. A. Calcf of Portland, taking
as part payment thereof a first class
automobile. This realty firm is
now busily engaged In subduing the
animal."
If you want to kill all hope of get
ting a free ferry for years to come,
vote for annexation. Portland does
not want us to have a free ferry.
The heavy business interests of
that city want to keep the trade
from the Tualatin valley themselves
and not divert it to St. Johns.
