RE8IGN8 FROM BOARD,
At the meeting of the school board
last week the resignation of Mr. A.
W. Davis was accepted and Mr. C.
J, Miller was appolntou In his place.
Mr. Davis' letter of resignation
follows which explains bis resigning.
Mr. Davis mado a good member of
tha board while he acted In that ca
pacity and bla reasons for resigning
are those we might expect from a
thorough going business man.
To tho School Board, St. Johns, Ore.
Gentleman: Please accept my res
ignation, I am of the opinion that
a member of the board should visit
the schools and give tho business
more attention generally than I am
allc to do, or have any prospect of
doing In the near future. My time Is
so taken up that I cannot Justify
myself In assuming these Important
duties. So I think It best to mako
room for some one that will give it
tho attention It should have.
Respectfully, A. W, Davis. ,
