We have many employes in our mills and factories who are away from home. Many of our residents want to meet their friends up town of an evening, but there is no place to meet except nt the saloons or pool room. This should not be so, Let us have the reading room so the people may make their choice where hey shall spend their leisure hours. If every lodge, church, the commercial club, with all other organizations will put their shoulder to the wheel we may have it, and, to this end there will be a mass meeting called within three weeks, so talk up, the great theme of a fine, large cozy public reading room in St. Jolius.
