Benson had been ill for about
week and his illness developing ser

on the morning of Pebriiary 8th.
An operation was immediately per
formed, at which a considerable
i)Oi t ion of the diseased intestines
were removed. Mr. llciisou ralliet
quite well from the shock, and in

grew weaker, and till hoes of his
