Howard Burright returned last week after an extended visit with relatives in Portland and Seattle. Mrs. Horsell entertained the Jolly Neighbors' club and their husbands Thursday. The Botz Land Company is mak ing extensive Improvements on their ranch In Alfalfa. Uillv Free returned Tuesday from a visit in Portland and Salem. Mr. J. N. Crow and son Melvlu are delivering hay to the Bend market. Mr. Buick of the Ten Bar ranch was looking after his sheep that are being wintered at the C. H. Hardy ranch. Tuesday. Mrs. Carl Larsen Is staying with her sister. Mrs. Reynolds on Bear Creek. Mr. Reynolds was seriously stabbed in Bend last week. A meeting of the Alfulfa, Powell Butte, Redmond telephone associa tion was held at the Butte valley school house Monday eve. The fol lowing officers were elected: C. H. Hardy, president; Lue Hahland, vice president; Mrs, Albert Shullx, finan cial secretary; Albert Scnulti and C. Mcl'ne. directors; H. L. Burlrght of Alfalfa and H. Wirti of Powell Butte, linemen. The Alfalfa Farm Bureau a live organization, recently affiliated with the state federation. Miss Laura Crow had the misfor tune to sprain her hand seriously while driving their car in Bend Mon day. A number of bands of sheep pas sed through this section this week, enroute to various feeding grounds. Mrs. Honstine returned this week from Portland, where she has been, under the care of an eye specialist. Our teacher, Miss Eugenia Gld deoji. and her pupils enjoyed a skat ing party Tuesday afternoon. L. V. Clark is back again after a ten day sojourn with relatives lu Portland.
