The stock did not take to the sunflower silage aa readily as to the corn silage, bufmte it just as well after they were used to It. - There was no apparent dif ference ,n the gain made, the sun flowers making more gains in one test and less In another. Silage made (rom corn stover corn without ears proved palatable Mid satisfactory. It carried much more water and fiber than silage (rom ear corn, and Its value waa pro portionately' leas. Clover Btraw has not yet been used satisfactorily as silage. Peas and bald barley silage and alfalfa and bald barley silage gave excellent results (or (attening steers and lambs and (or wintering calves and yearlings. ..
