Henry has been absent from Prineville a number of years. A. B. Roller has departed for Cal ifornia for a stay of some time. He has left his business in the hands of Wm. McMillan until his return. A free dance is to be given by the people of Powell Butte community on December 12, celebrating the clearing of the debt against the hall. Every one is invited to attend. W. J. Death came while Mrs. Ford waa under care of physictana at the home of her daughter. Mra. Ong. Winter weather has prevailed dur ing the week, the lowest temperature being recorded yesterday, when at the warmest part of the day 26 d grees above xero was recorded, the coldest being 16 above during the night. The old barn which haa atood in the aouth end of Main atreet for a acore of years haa been removed pre paratory to the opening of the atreet next week.
