Saturday, October 18. 1919. at the hour of 10
o'clock a. m. at the County Court room of aaid
County, in the City of Prineville. Oregon,
aaid date being the time aet and fixed by aaid
Court, for the purpose of hearing aaid petition
and all persona are hereby notified to be pres
ent at aaid time and place to make objections
thereto, if any objections then be. or other
wise to eonaidcr aaid petition.
This notice la published once a week for four
consecutive weeks, (five publications), and the
first publication thereof ia on the loth day of

ty, Oregon :
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS,
That we the undersigned reaidenta and free
holder within the State of Oregon and Coun
ty of Crook, respectfully petition the Honorable
County Court of Crook County, Oregon, ai
hereinafter aet forth and each signer hereto,
for himself declares and says:
That I am the holder of title to lands sus
ceptable to irrigation from the source herein
after described, aituated within the boundaries
of aaid proposed District, as hereinafter more
particularly set forth and described.
Said petitioners whose names are hereinafter
signed to and made a part of this petition here
by propose the organisation of an Irrigation
District and said signers and petitioners here
by declare that it is the purpose of the peti
tioners to organise said Irrigation District un
der and by virtue of the provisions of Chapter
867 of the General Laws of Oregon for 1917,
and any other acts and parts of acta amenda
tory thereof, and in conformity with the pro
visions of the law providing therefor, petition
this Court for the purposes in this petition
stated and given.
The proposed boundaries of said Irrigation
District are set forth and described particularly
as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section
four (t, Township fourteen (141 South, Range
fourteen (14) Eaat of the Willamette Merid
ian and running thence South one mile to the
Southeast corner of aaid Section four (4) ;
thence West one quarter of a mile to the South
west corner of the Southeast quarter of the
Southeast quarter of aaid Section four (41 :
thence South one quarter of a mile to the
Southeast comer of the Northwest quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section nine (9),
said Township and range: thence West one
quarter of a mile to the Southwest comer of
aaid Northwest quarter of the Northeast quar
ter of Section nine (9) : thence North one Quar
ter of a mile to the Northwest corner of the
said Northwest quarter of the Northeast quar
ter of Section nine (9) I thence West one half
mile to the Northeast corner of Section eight

the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section twenty (20), Township fourteen (14)
South. Range fourteen (14) East of the Wil
lamette Meridian and running thence South one
half of a mile to the Southeast comer of the
Southweat quarter of the Northeast quarter of
said Section twenty (20) ; thence west one half

quarter of the Northwest quarter of said Sec
tion Twenty (20) ; thence North one half mile
to the Northwest comer of the Northeast quar
ter of the Northwest quarter of said Section
Twenty (20) ; thence east one half mile to the
place of beginning.
AH of aaid lands above described lying and
being aituated In the County of Crook and
State of Oregon.
The designation of the said proposed Irriga
tion District and the name ander which it shall
be known ia the
LONE PINE IRRIGATION DISTRICT
The source of supply from which the water
to be used within aaid proposed Irrigation
uiaiiict shall be the Deschutes River; said
water to be contracted for by the District from
the Central Oregon Irrigation Company or ita
assigns ; said water to be furnished to said Dis
trict by aaid Company or its assigns at a point
within said District, in Crook County, State of
Oregon.
The signers of this Petition constitute
majority of the holders of title of lands bus
ceptable of irrigation from the source herein
described within the boundaries of said pro
posed Irrigation District, and said signers here
with petition the Court that three Directors be
elected as Directors of said Irrigation District,
and that Directors be elected at large from the
entire District.
The probable cost of organisation of the
aforesaid Irrigation District is the sum of two
hundred fifty dollars and the Petitioners here
to accompany this Petition with a good and
sufficient Bond in the sum of five hundred
dotlara, which is double the amount of prob
able coat of the organisation of aaid Irrigatiol
District.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioners pray tha)
said Irrigation District be organised aa provided
by law, and particularly as aet forth and re
quired by the Statute hereinbefore referrec
to; that aaid Petition be heard aa required b:
law and that aaid County Court ahall do anj
and all thing necessary and requisite to effect
the organisation, and for such other and fur
ther order, action and relief as may be nec
essary and provided by law for the organisa
tion of aaid Irrigation District, your petitioners
will ever pray.
Reference ia hereby made to the Notice ac
companying this petition, stating the time , of
the meeting at which this netmon will be pre
sented to the said County Court, which said
Notice ia mad a part of thta petition.
