younger Young will take possession

that section and has a good equip
ment of slock and farming imple
ments. The elder Mr. Young expects to go
to Portlund In the near future.

6:10 Sunday evening, after being loat
In the blue mountains for two hours.
The crowds had watched for the ma
chine to appear from the southwest
all afternoon when the plane was seen
coming from the cast. ;
Leaving Pendletot at 3:30 Sunday
afternoon, the aviators headed for
Walla Walla, but their map did not
show tho Umatilla river. They fol
lowed up this, passing over Bingham
Springs and Elgin, In Eastern Oregon.
Finally they descended to a little
town to locate themselves and wcie
amazed to discover they were at Im-
bier, Oregon. !
They filled up with gasoline, got
their bearings, flew back over Elgin
and thence across the Blue mountains
passing over Toll Gate and coming
into Walla Walla from a direction un
expected. This is the first time an airplane
has ever penetrated into the Elgin
section or' flown across the Elue

Tho town has filled up the last two
weeks with wool buyers and sheep
men. The wool Is corning in rapidly
and will all be in and shipped by the
first of July,
Up to the present date 13 cars of
wool have been shipped tittra this
point, aggregating 3 40,000 pounds,
and It Is estimated that thera will be
12 carloads more to ship. Kainlrcx
