St. Germ r in. Auslrla was on Mon day given 15 day to reply to tin term of peace presented by the al lied nations. The entire treaty was not presenter, to the Austrian and the 15 days' stip ulntttm with regard to their reply therefore, refers only to the port tor of the terms handed them at Monday's session. Following Is ft summary of the con dltlons of peace as presented to thi Austrian plenipotentiaries: The conditions of peace of the allied and assembled powers, with exception of military reparations, financial ami certain boundary clauses, were handed to the Austrian plenipotentiaries Those, clauses which are not yet ready for presentation will be delivered as toon as possible, the Austriani In the meantime having the opportunity to begin work on the greater part of the treaty tn an effort to facilitate a final decision. The Austrian treaty follows exactly the same outline as the German, and In many places Is Identical with it except for the change In name. Cer tain . specific clauses which applied only to Germany are of course omit ted, and certain new clauaea Included, especially as regards the new states created out of the former Austro-Hun-gartan empire and the protection of the rights of the racial, religious and linguistic minorities In Austria, Che choslovakia, Roumanla and the Ser bian Croatian Slovenian state. Austria Is left by the treaty a state of from 6.000.000 or 7,000,000 people Inhabiting a territory ot between 5000 and 6000 square miles. She is requir ed to recognize the complete Inde pendence of Hungary, Ciecho Slovakia and the Serbian Croatian Slovenian state, and to cede other territories which previously In union with her composed the empire of Austria Hun gary with its population ot over 50, 000.000 people. Austria agrees to accept the League of Nations Covenant and the labor charter, to renounce all her extra European rights, to demobilise her whole naval and aerial forces, to ad mit the right of trial by the allied a, associated powers ot her nationals guilty of violating the law and cus toms of force and to accept detailed provisions similar to those of the Ger man treaty as to economic relations and freedom ot transit.
