Mrs. Herbert Rideout returned on Monday from a visit with relatives at Paulina. Ernest Estes returned last Friday from a week's visit with friends at Paulina. John R. Luckey of Powell Butte was a business visitor in the city on Tuesday. L M. Mills of Paulina was attending to business matters in the city the first of the week. Mrs. H. L. Maker and little daugh ter left the first of the week to visit relatives in Boston. C C. Houk of Grizzly was a Prine ville visitor Monday. Warren Brown went to Portland yesterday on business. W. R. Mii8eall and family motored over from Dayville on Monday. C. C. Dunham of Roberts was a business visitor the first of the week. J. N. Morgan of Lang and Company, Portland, were in the city on Monday. Norris Bixby is employed by Rob inson and Clifton in the Men's Shop during the absence of Mr. Robinson. Jim Prose and family left the first of the week in their car for a tour of the Willamette valley i and to visit with relatives and friends. Sunday was a fine day for outing parties and from the looks of the town Sunday afternoon it was evi dent that everyone realized it. Guy Lafollette returned Friday from a short business trip to Port land. He reports business conditions good in the Rose City. Mrs. L. M. Hodges lnd daughter, Stella, went to Portland Monday night. El kins, was seriously stricken with ap pendicitis at 0. A. C, where she has been attending school. Mr. and Mrs. Elkins left Immediately to be with their daughter. The operation was to have been performed Monday night. Dr. Belknap Is sending the week end In Portland, where he will at tend the graduation exercises of his son, Leland, on June 6th, from the Island, has received his discharge and has returned to Portland to take up his practice of medicine again, S. B. Ellis of Prineville has been granted the exclusive grandstand con cession at the Oregon Interstate Fair to be held October 1-2-3-4.
