Because of this tact, or as a result 1 it, the United States is the first na tion to recognize the posibilitea of those inventions that are of the greatest power in the war, and also in times of peace. In order to keep the people of- the aation posted on what is being done to win the war, all citizens are noti fied through the press, which is ab solutely uncensored, although pos itive instructions are issued regular ly regarding what should be publish ed and what is not permissable and through the medium of motion pic tares. These are being made on the battle fields, along the lines of communi cation between the prominent ports In this country and the front, and in any other ways. There is being made an authentic record by the government of these activities. Also facts regarding international relationships, fiction pictures founded apon fact, and which are in reality propaganda of the truthful sort, are being made and will be isued In quan tity as soon as possible. In these, and in other develop ments thai are coming soon, are to e foundj America's answer to (the Hun boas that the Yanks would not fee a factor in this war. IMPORTANT WORK BEING ACCOMPLISHED BY T. Never again will I trust anyone's Idea of where the Bosche line is and never again will I go out unarmed. It 'was the closest shave I have ever had. . "Just had some good news. I leave here tomorrow. I am worn out and am going to a rest camp. My head is nearly bursting so I am not going to write much. There goes the gas al arm; I got some the other night that -is the reason I feel so bum now. I am back at our the pretty girls in France must flock to Paris, anyway they have lots of pretty ones there and they sure know how to dress. "They wear swell clothes and one would think they were all rich. They all seem to like American soldiers. With a man one must be able to' talk French to get on, but not so with the girls, it seems to come easy, they un derstand more English than the men and the boys understand more French. But I will back the Ameri can girls I know against them all. Tbe oftener I see them the more I ap preciate the girls at home. "I am beginning to run across boys that left the states in June and July. They are coming over fast now. Well they can't come over too fast. I hope we can majce a real drive next month and go clear through, and the more there are here the more chance there will be of doing it. "I told you of my little stunt in hunting souvenirs. It was a close call but funny and there were three badly scared boys that came out of it, When the first shots came overhead and I dropped I did not think much mm L ! 1 SI I r.
