Cross and Mary F. , Barnhizer, of Held, were married in .' Prineville, Saturday, March 24. Elmer Hawthorne killed a rabid coyote on the Stearns ranch Satur day after it had attacked one of the dogs. Walter M. Smith, of Madras, and Ida Houston were married at Loyd Powell's ranch on McKay Sunday, March 25. J. G. Bolter was in the city from Gateway Friday. His family return ed to the ranch with him for the week-end. Mabel Bixby, Katherine Love, George Ehler, Otto Hodges and Bruce McMeen motored to Metolius for the dance Friday night. Born to Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Free burg at Sarles, North Dakota, Mar. 25, a nine pound girl. Mrs. Free burg was Miss Beulah Hyde of this city. Jack Grace, formerly with the Baby Beavers of Portland, who played baseball here last fall, spent the week-end in Prineville visiting friends. Homer Ross returned today from a business trip to Portland. Mrs. R. C. Brown spent the week end with Mrs. E. S. Ruggles. L. W. Van Dorn, of Powell Butte, was a Prineville visitor Tuesday. All of the regular services next Sunday at the Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Neal and children spent Sunday at the Ruggles home. There will be services at the Cath olic Church next Sunday at 10 a. m. Mrs. James Cram is in the city for a few days visiting her mother. A very cordial reception was given the vlultors and a delicious banquet was served. Those present report a very delight ful time. I'nlon Young People's Meeting at the Christian Church next Sunday evening at 6:30 o'clock. This Is the second of a series of union meetings and It Is planned to have these meetings once every three months, holding them In each church until all have been visited. All young people of the city should attend this meeting. Special mimic and other matters of interest will be provided so as to insure an Interesting meet ing to all. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barnes and children, Betty and Thomas Jr., ar rived yesterday from Portland where ; they spent the winter. The music furnished by Bowker's orchestra last night at the Commer cial Club dance was greatly appre ciated by the large crowd present. J. E. Roberts, H. C. Nelson, F. L. Tesreau, J. P. Jacobsen and Geo. Milliorn were business visitors in the city Monday from Roberts. They brought in about 4000 rabbit scalps, j E. H. Brent sold his confectionery' and luncheonette Saturday to the j firm of Johnson and Brosius. Mr. j Johnson is an experienced candy l maker and will make all the candy! for the new firm. Mrs. Wm. Gorden died at the i Home Hospital, Thursday, March 22. The funeral was held from the Lipp man Undertaking Parlors Friday afternoon. Mrs. Gordon was a resident of Scotland until about three years ago. Mrs. W. I. Dishman entertained with a luncheon at her home Friday at o'clock for Mrs. Hugh Lister.
