Mr. and Mrs. George Walker re turned Monday from a visit of about ten days in Portland. Stanley Smith returned Sunday from Albany where he has been vis iting for several weeks. - Miss Dolly Hodges was in Bend over the week-end, the guest of Miss Harriett McCune. Max Crandall left Saturday for Bend. He has been working at the court house for several days. Bowker's Orchestra, of Portland, will furnish music for a dance at the Comercial Club March 28. James Elkius Sr., returned Mon day from Sisters and Bend where he has been visiting relatives. Edward McFarland Jr., returned Tuesday from Likely, Calif., where he has been for several months. Mr. and Mrs. Jay H. Upton avere in Bend last week-end the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon A. Forbes. Mrs. Robert Douglas returned yesterday from Ludow Falls, Ohio, where she has been visiting tor several months. Miss Bertha Baldwin returned from Bend Monday where she had been visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ryan. Chas. Shattuck has gone to the Cove for a few days on business connected with the Deschutes Power Company. Mrs. Henry Howard returned from Santa Barbara, Calif., Sunday, where she has been for several weeks visiting relatives. Tom Coon passed through the city Tuesday with several car loads of beef cattle belonging to the Prine ville Land and Livestock Co. Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Baldwin will arrive home tomorrow from San I Diego, California, where they have been spending the winter. Dr. George B. Van Waters of j Portland held Episcopalian services here Sunday morning at the Presby terian church. The new Baptist pastor, Rev. F. C.
