been evacuated by the Roumanians.
Falkenhayn first struck a quick
blow wltB bis left Trtng, recapturing
the famous Red Tower pass, near the
Transylvanlan frontier. Having block
ed the enemy's retreat on the railway
leading through the. Red Tower, he
moved northward, rolling up the Rou
manian left wing and sending part of
the Roumanian first army in hurried
flight
The second Roumanian army at
tempted to stiffen the retreating en
emy forces, but was thrown back by
the Bavarians. A large number of
prisoner and much booty has been
taken.

The Zeppelin burned - more fiercely
than the one previously destroyed, '
which, like it, fortunately fell In an
open field. ;
The members of the crew were In-,
clnerated and the bodies scattered ,
over the field on which the airship '
alighted some 80 yards from a farm-!
er's cottage. !
