"The Coward" Big Film Play.
Occasionally there comes a play
which appeals to all classes. Such
say many who have seen it, is
Thomas H. lnee's civil war play,
"THE COWARD," starring Frank
Keonan, to be shown next Saturday
and Sunday at the Lyric Theatre.
The scenes of "The . Coward" are
laid in the Valley of Virginia in
1861. The story is that of a pride
ful father and a weak timid b'hi.

beginning of war between ' the
North and the South, later redeems
himself for the sake cf tho Confed
eracy in a. startling manner. The
battle scenes are magnificent. The
far-flung line of soldiers is thrown
over mountain and.valley. Clouds
from exploding shells half cover,
half disclose the landscape. The
furious onrush of foot soldiers and
cavalry is exhibited. But the most
startling scene of all is the fall
with his horse of the young actor
from a bridge into the river. This
feat will cause many to gasp with
astonishment.
