HOSTS AT
More than 100 people, which in
eluded a I Hive delegation each from
lend and Kedmond. attended the
anniversary of the loonl chapter of
the Knurn Star In this city Mon
luy evening.
The affair wan a social event of
the highest order. A mimical pro
gram, game of various kinds, and
like amusements prevailed until a

CHAUTAUQUA MEET
IS
A meeting of those who binned
the Chautauqua guarantee wait held i
in the Commercial Club rooms on
Monday evening of this week.
Dr. Gove wan elected president of
the Chautauqua association, Geo, II. i
Ksmsey vice president, Jay H.'j
Upton secretary and Dn II. Peoples
treasurer. This organization is per
manent, and will exist throughout
the year.'
The chairman was authorized to
appoint committees from time, to
tjuie as the necessity for. .such cornt
m It tees becomes apparent. Various
plans for the Chautauqua were dis
cussed, and others will be suggested
at iuture meetings.
ThV next meHing will be held at
the Club rooms on April 21.
SATURDAY!
Commencing Hatudray morning,
April 1, Frinevills will be supplied
with fvo malls daily , from the rail
road, for the- first time. The extra
mail will leave' Redmond in the
evening, after the arrival of the
train which Is due about 7 p. m.
but departure will be made not
later than 8:30, and will arrive jo
1'rineville three hours later. This
trip will not lie mads on Sunday
evenings.
From 1'rlneville the mail wil de.
part at 4:110 a. m.' every day, and
the arrival at Hedmond will be
not later than 7::i0. which will con
nect with the north bound train.
The present service will be the
'same as formerly with the exception
of the hour of departure for the
railroad in the afternoon, which is
