Robert W.Osborn, Editor, The past week was one which will long be remembered by students of the C. C. H. S for it marked the staging of a very successful play and signalized a victory over the debate of our old rival, The Dalles. The spirit of celebration resulting was allowed to expand Thursday morning, when a general rally was held in which the debaters related their experiences. The C. C, II. S. is not grumbling, but it was a strange chance which iwuuvu i uun-y anu tii'wibb ui ttltj unanimous decision in The Dulles. I The judge were 'sent from Portland ' by Mr. Alderman, but it transpired tltul two ox tnein wore so especially prejudiced in favor of The Dalles, that their sense of fairness was for gotten. MissLt tha Everette, representing the Senior Class, related some very interesting Indian legands to the assembly Wednesday i.i which the Indian's power of imagination and reasoning based on the beauties of of Nature, were vividly portrayed. ... . The conclusion reached by the large and appreciative audience which witnessed the presentation of "Fanny's Dilemma" Monday night, was, that it was the best play, more ably interpreted than any ever staged in Prineville. The j cast seemed to have grown up inj their lines and their scenes were! supported by all the appropriate! properties obtainable. The pre- ! lude, by the lads and lassies of Newte's chorus, made a distinct j impression and one would think j mat tnty were actually trivolous. ! 5. 1913, made Homestead Entry, With a talent of expression and j No. 011371, for Si, Section 35, gesture which appeared professional. !TwP- 20-Soutn, Range 18-East, W.
