We have sold over 300,000 Ford cars in the time specified, and profit-sharing checks of foO each will be distributed as rapidly as possible after August 15, 1915. Retail purchasers who have not yet mailed us their profit-sharing coupons, properly en dorsed, should do so without delay. Our plan to profit share with retail purchasers of Ford cars during 1914-15 has been most successful, we thoroughly be lieve in it, but, realizing the uncertainty of conditions general ly makes it advisable to defer any announcement of future profit-sharing until a later date. we are, however, confident of our inability to reduce costs for several months, and therefore can offer no profit-sharing for cars delivered during August, September and October, 1915. The bur den of proof immediately thereupon rests on the accused to show that the gift was bona fide or was made in good faith, and he must prove himself innocent, and satisfy the jury that he was not giving the drink away in order to violate the law. "The presence of intoxicating beverages in any building ir other place of business other than a drug store, or in a private dwelling house, is prima facie evidence that the law is being violated. That place may at once be closed an a public nuis ance, the proprietors either of the building or the ground upon which it stands or both are subject to heavy fines and penalties. "Every whiskey or brewery sign, as row are hanging about town or on the sides of fences and barns must be disposed of. After midnight to-night, the owner of any such sign, the building or fence upon which is painted or hung will be subject to arrest and a fine of from $100 to S500. There is no prohibition against stocking up tomorrow for the long dry spell, but there is much law upon what you may do with that stock after you have it in your possession, as to where you may store it and how you shall dispose of it for instance. The only safe way is to drink it yourself. It cannot be stored in any rooming house, boarding house or hotel. There is no place for ft in any club. If you take a bottle to any public gather ing, even to church, you are liable fines and jail sentence. You cannot carry much of it around with you for. the law makes it a prima facie violation where any of it is found in the possession of any person not entitled to sell same ex cept he be in a private dwelling house. The sale of so-called near-beer, or the multitude of other names under which it masquerades, will not be permitted. No beverage con taining more than one-half of one per cent of alcohol by volume may be sold."
