Robert W. Osborn, Editor.
A pall of gloom hung over the
High School like a cloud when' the
death of Kenneth Hcrshey was an
nounced, Tuesday. The member
of the fuculty are to be especially
commended for the spirit of condol
ence which they showed to the be
reaved parents, and fr the closing
of whool during the preisent condi

I be held.
The lady members of the faculty

I a royal dinner the first of last week,
j The first basketball game of the
i season saw the Alumni team defeat
ed, 22 to 17, in their annual cliiiJi
J with the C. ('. H. S. basket shooters,
I Saturday evening.
! Roughness dominated and marred
the beauty of the plays which were
fust despite the fact that the Alumnis
; showed considerable lack of practice.
I Estes was the star of the evening
( for in the matter of scores h? prac
tically defeated the Alumni team
; single-handed having made 18 of
the 22 points scored by the winners.
The Alumni quintet consisting of
Yancey, Belknap Ri"e, Michel and
