She says that Oregon looks good to

lambs at the fair that weighed 126
pound each. They were grade Ham p
shires, and are worth almost f 10
each in the market.

A band of 1900 sheep passed
through Prineville Sunday on their
way to the L. L. Jones ranch at
Mitchell. They were driven from
Davis Lake in the Cascades in five
months.
The Federation of young people's
society will meet at the Presbyterian

Alex Rickman and Miss Co'a
Kennedy were married at the home
of the bride's parents near Held on
September 27. They will live on the
ranch Mr. Rickman recently pur
chased from C. J. Johnson.
James Allyn of Cecil, Oregon and
Mrs. S. P. Glenn were married at
The Dalles on September 15. Mr.
Allyn is well known in the Paulina
country, and Mrs. Glenn will be
remembered by the ojder people
there. They will reside at Cecil.
There will be preaching at Grimes
Chapel Sunday afternoon at 3 P. M.
Sunday School at 2 P. M. E. C. New-
ham. The subject of the morning
sermon at the Methodist church will
be "What is Christian Baptism?"
Sunday evening the Methodist and
Presbyterian Churches will welcome
Rev, Van Nuys to the Presbyterian
pulpit by combining their services.
The semi-annual meeting of the
Crook County Medical Society was
held in the banquet room of the
hotel Prineville Friday evening, Oc
tober 8, at 8.30. Papers were read
by Drs. J. H. Hoelscher of Chicago,
Ferrell of Bend, and Fox of Prine
ville. The next meeting will be
held at Redmond.
A newcomer to Redmond this
year for the potato show will be
King Murphy the First, who will
arrive in Redmond October 21st.
He will be introduced to the people
of that town at the coronation cere
monies when he will ascend the
throne and be given the keys to the
city. This promises to' an event of
unusual inteiest.
