Will Dixon was in Frineville the
first of the weeV.
Born, to the wife of Robert Can
tell on May 27, a -boy.
Miss Anna Walker spent Saturday
at the home of H. H. Rachor.
H. H. Rachor is able to be about
again after a three weeks illness.
R. A. McCoy and wife of Terre
bonne were in Prneville yesterday
on business.
There will be no meeting of the
Lades Annex tommorow afternoon
as planned.
Brof. E. E. Evans and family left
yesterday for Redmond where they
will spend the summer.
I. L. Ketchum left Sunday after
noon for Portland and San Francisco
where he will visit the fair.
Mrs. M. R. Elliott and daughter
Agnes returned the first of the week
from Trout Creek where they have
been visiting relatives.
A. C. Gilchrsit passed through
Prineville today on his way to Pau
lina. He spent the winter in Port
land and in various parts of Indiana.
E. T. Slayton and F. S. Hoffman
are harvesting alfalfa this week.
While it is quite early for cutting
alfalfa, they think that a second
crop will mature much quicker by
cutting the first one now.
All the regular services at the
Christan Church next Sunday both
morning and evening. You are
invited to find a church home with
us. Hours: 11 a. m. and 8 p. m.

A. C. Egan of the O-W railway
phoned today from Bend that the
wool sales dates have been set for
June 17, at Redmond and Bend, and
that to date no sale has been an
nounced for any other town in Crook
County.

Isaac Goff has gone to Hood River;
and Oregon City where he will visit

Uncle Dave Elliott suffered a
severe" attack of heart trouble on
the streets here this morning. He is
resting easier this afternoon but is'
yet in a critical condition. i
C. J. Johnson and family and
Weaver Melton left Saturday morn-
ing for California in the Johnson :
car. lhey will visit both exposi-1
tions while away.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ayers of Day-;
ton Wash, were visiting at the home ,
of W. S. Ayers this week. Mr. Ayers
senior says that he likes this part of ,
Oregon very much. J
The athletic department of the
ladies annex will hold a meeting in
the rooms of the annex Saturday at
2 P. M. All wishing to join the
tennis club are requested to attend.

ville today in the interests of the

E. C. Avery of the Hill service and

hold other meetings. Prof. Shaw
